Grand Slam Baseball MV has announced the schedule for Sandlot pick-up games in Aug and Sept, 2025
WHEN: Weekly evening games for next 2 months (note start dates)
Mondays: 6-7:30 pm - 12-14 year-olds @ JV Field- begins on 8/4/25
Tuesdays: 5:30-7:00 pm - 6-9 yr. olds @ Penn Field- begins on 8/12/25
Wednesdays: 5:30-7:00 pm - 9-11 yr. olds @ Penn Field- begins on 8/13/25

Annual elections -volunteers needed!
For anyone interested in joining the MVYB&S Board of Directors, annual elections will be held in the beginning of October.

MV Youth Baseball & Softball
In 2025, Martha's Vineyard Little League got a new name - MV Youth Baseball & Softball, Inc.
The Board of Directors voted to switch from a Little League organization to a Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken organization to keep league age dates consistent across regular season and tournament play. The new qualifying date to determine a player's league age is May 1st.
Due to this restructuring under a new organization, we needed to change our name. Our website domain and emails will remain the same through 2025 to help transition the community into our new name. If you have any questions, please email: info@mvybaseballsoftball.org

Dates to note for the rest of the season
Week of June 2nd-- Magnet fundraiser money due to coach or parent coordinator. Each player who registered on time received 5 magnets to sell for $10 each. Unsold Magnets and/or $$ raised should be returned this week to the league. Each team will collect and submit to Fundraising coordinator. **Spare magnets can be sold to families who registered late and did not receive any.
June 3rd - Sharks host MVYB&S! Meet at gates @ 5:45 pm to warm-up with Sharks players and run the bases with Sharkey! Families and chaperones get into the game for free with players.
June 14th-- Playoffs start for Minors and Majors; Last regular season games for all other divisions.
June 21st - Championship & Awards Day for all players, Championship games for Majors & Minors divisions.
Summer Travel teams will be announced on Memorial Day Weekend. All Majors and Minors players are eligible and teams will be selected by coach votes. We plan to have 12s/11s/10s/ and possibly a U9 for travel teams. Travel tournaments will be in June and July.

These schedules are subject to change. Those changes will be reflected in the Sports Engine App available to registered players. Practice times are set and communicated directly to families by coaches.

MVYB&S is a volunteer-run community sports league serving the youth of Martha's Vineyard. Divisions range from T-Ball for players as young as league age 4yrs to Senior Babe Ruth for players as old as league age 19yrs. MVYB&S baseball is open to youth of all genders.

Sport Engine FAQ : How to add second parent to Sports Engine, or phone number
Sports Engine is the new registration and team software for MVYB&S, beginning in 2024. The easiest way for you to communicate with your team will be to add this app to your smart phone. When you register your player, an account will be created. If your child played last year, you already have an account.
With the Sports Engine messaging, the parent who initially registered the player is the only person who will initially receive communication via email and/or phone.
To add another guardian, receive texts and push notifications, please update your family profile. (The league cannot due this for security reasons.)
